Cheap Boat Insurance

My brother-in-law has just bought a cheap oldish 16ft grp boat with a cuddy and 8HP outboard. He will use it on Ullswater and keep it on the shore on a trailer (or possibly on a mooring buoy just offshore part of the time).
I got cheap comprehensive insurance for my little yacht as they classify it as a dinghy.
Is there an inexpensive insurance, with no survey requirement, for small trailable motor boats?

Any suggestions?
