Cheap Binoculars

There was a post recently regarding cheap binoculars.

I bought some at the weekend from Tescos in Reading for £5.71.

They are made by Praktica, and are 8 x 50, I think, and with a case and 10 year guarantee.

I have not tried them out yet, as they are for my nephew, but look like 'proper' ones rather than toys.

Probably not great quality, but worth a look?

I had a small cheap pair to keep in my pocket when at the helm but found them not a lot of use.

I have a pair of compass binoculars that cost about£100 which I really find nice to use. They have survived about 3 seasons of hard use and abuse so far.
