Chay Blyth\'s GBll?

Is GB2 still around? Anyone know her recent history/location/ownership etc.

Once was lucky enough to sail her as United Friendly...

Re: Chay Blyth\'s GBll?

I was on "GBII" for a year from 1992 to 1993. The company that owned her went bust soon after. After that her history seems to be quite sketchy, I once bumped into her in Cowes around 1995/6 but after that who knows. Her last name I believe was Whitbread Heritage, but web searches have proved fruitless. Such a shame that there was little money available for her upkeep as she was undoubtedly a wonderful old girl.

PM me if you'd like some photo's of her when I was on board.

Capt. Submarine, your selflessness and dedication are an example to us all. Please accept my --------- (insert your choice of words here)

The last time I heard of her she was on the South Coast (Lymington, possibly) still called Whitbread Heritage.

GBII was moored on the River Medina during 2014, still was last time I passed. It was out for a sail on Round-the-Island day. No idea of ownership, etc. it looks in reasonable if not top condition.

British Steel, which I think was his first boat, is on the same trot as me in the Dart. Hasn't moved for many years, seems to be slowly rotting away.
