Sailors on the Thames are spoiled by the free tide tables given out by the PLA and the new tidal app. On the Medway we are not so lucky, except for tides up to 7 days ahead.
I have been told that we can substitute the PLA Coryton tide tables for Chatham Lock, which is handy. Superficially they look similar (HW about 10 mins later than Southend/Sheerness), but can anyone confirm that Coryton predicted HW and LW tides can be substituted for Chatham (+/- 5 mins) generally?
