Hi ECF peeps
As some old friends from ECF know over the last two seasons we sailed Artemis from our home base on the Crouch at Fambridge to our new home on another east coast here in Cyprus.
This winter is the first here for Artemis and the first lift out in 27 months not much to report other than a little play between the prop and shaft easily sorted. after a power wash no barnacles, in fact nothing much of anything, so well pleased. after such a long time and 5,500 miles sailing.
Just before going on the hard in Larnaca we cleared out all the extras that we required for extended cruising and were surprised just how much Artemis rose in the water (approx150mm). we were also amazed at just how much stuff we had tucked away.
There are things to be done as always and sourcing things here is more difficult than in the uk but the real issues being prices Anti foul in particular about twice the price of the UK but still hunting down some local stuff at the moment.
As a result of out clear out I have lots of books, charts for sale and will be back in the UK from the 20th for two weeks and am offering them on the ECF first before posting them else where I will be based in Southend on Sea and happy to meet to hand over items anyone my want also can post cost of which is not included. It would be good to catch up with some old friends and perhaps meet some new ones.
