Chartplotter ?

I have the 3600i, waterproof and removable. Not sure the Nauticpath cartridge is worth what you are paying for it.

ISTR without the card my plotter would have been about £70 cheaper... I wish I had put this towards a Navionics card.

I have just searched on E Bay and found a Lowrance 5200c at £365, is that a better model ??

Its the cartography I am not sure about.
Praps its worth asking how much the plotter would be without the Nauticpath? But they seem to come as a package.
Apologies to Oldhamlad for hijacking your post /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Mailspeed Marine did mine with, or without, the Nauticpath card - worth shopping around, or asking how much with a navionics card, or any other permutation you can think of

got the older model 3500c with nauticpath no complaints at all. for the price i don't think you can go wrong, there have been a few posts recently ,all i can say is it got us from cardiff to spain, portugal ,morrocco, mallorca then onto tunisia,i find it easy to use,the screen is visible but as with all things electronic ,use with common sense,

I had one on my last boat, no complaints and the nauticpath card was fine also.It was my first chartplotter so at the time could'nt compare to any other cartography. Current boat has a furano chartplotter/radar/fishfinder with c map find it slightly harder to use. But then it could be me!!

I fitted a Garmin 292c with internal attena on my Falcon 275.
Works really well. Though I would suggest buying a unit with as large a display as possible, thats in keeping with your boat size. Try Malthouse marine, they are helpful and keenly priced.

Agree the navionics are good cards but....

they have a lot of tidal information missing from the diamonds

and one happens to be my home prt of lowestoft!

told them in June and they have done nothing about it!
