Advance planning.

What chart(s) does the panel recommend for Harwich to Solent.
Admiralty 5605 seems to cover most from Dover to Solent.

I have Imray C30 which covers Harwich to Dover but is very large scale.
Will that be ok for moving around the Dover Straits?

I might also have Adm 5606. but cant rememeber and its on the boat....

Also which pilot books?

Thanks

Doug

Hello Doug,

Hope all is well. I would advise the Admiralty Small Craft Folios. Small and easily handled and gives quite a range,
I would suggest SC5607 Thames Estuary and Essex and Suffolk Coast. and SC5605 which covers Ramsgit to Chichester. I would suggest that your Imray C30 would not give you enough detail across the estuary and around Dover. SC 2037 the Eastern approaches to the Solent will get you the rest of the way.
Reeds will give you enough Pilotage Info.
Regards To every one at IHM.
