I've noticed quite a few Chart Corrections for the West Coast.

All have similar wordings but for different lat/long thus:

"Insert

the accompanying block**, showing a new CHART ACCURACY note and amendments to cautionary notes and title notes, centered on:

lat/long given and chart number."

What, exactly, does this mean?

Traditionally it means you cut out the "block" and glue it centred over the lat/long given so that the old information is replaced by the new. There is a very good book from the UK Hydrographic Office entitled "How to update your charts" that explains everything with examples.

I had actually guessed as much. My query really was that the accompanying block was @**@

I was expecting some words instead of **
