Just got some of the new Admiralty folio charts - measure approx 17" x 24".

Anyone know of a chart case suitable for these? Most seem far too big.

Alternative is a big clear plastic bag. Again suggestions for a suitable source. I've tried Googling but can only find places that sell them 500 at a time and folded so might not be clear enough plastic and creases would be a pain.

Thanks for any replies.

Blue Performance, (Bainbridge are importers), do a clear both sides chart holder for the Folio size charts, my Imray charts fit, with top seal and lanyard point for cockpit use, with chinagraph.

ah ... whilst were on the topic ... where can I can plastic wallets to store half folded admiralty charts? Don't need anything fancy that can be used on deck, just something cheap and cheerful for stroring my charts flat. I need quite a few, perhaps 10 or more.

Not sure if this is what you are after but: get a sheet of secondary double glazing perspex from B&Q cut two pieces to size and join by creating a hinge along one side with cloth tape, keep closed using a couple of bulldog clips - keeps the charts flat, offers pretty good protection and can be drawn on using chinagraph pencils.

I have bought chart folio covers from Kelvin Hughes.Clear plastic with a zip closure cost £9.50 each..Tel 023 80634911.Each cover will hold about 20 half folded Admiralty charts.
