Charity row? get a trimaran

I made a raft from two 6m lengths of 150mm drain, with a simple ply bridge and seat, oars and rowlocks. It went like the clappers. Took it up the river later, a chap passing by in a yacht said, in very plummy tones "Oh, my brother made something very like that, so you needn't think you're unique". Son was lost for words fortunately.

Ah guess he has asked for a Female crew to accompany him on his escapades afloat ?

Good on him, just shows you do not need to go to a Boat Show or Marina to 'get afloat' , mind you, for the East Coast amoungst us, it puts Andy S into another catagory for sure, bet he would not entertain it on his showgrounds at Woodbridge ? {:-)#
