I have reoccuring problems with charging voltage following a failure of my split charge diode last year. Mostly all is OK, but occassionally the volatge creeps up to 17 V Not good. Unplugging Adverc helps. Adverc was tested as OK last year prior to split charge diode as failled totally. Also alternator has a new regulator pack following failed diode.
Haveing spent too many hours with a voltmeter trying to understand what is happening and getting nowhere, I have to admit that the problem is beyond my mechanical engineers brain to sort out.
Can anyone reccoment a sutiable marine electrician who works in Gosport who will understand what is happening and know how to sort this.
Many thanks for any reccomendations
