Anyone got one of these, two red wires under the cover will run lights but does anyone out there use them to charge their batteries, if so howdid you wirethem in cheers
I'd expect them to be colour coded black and red to indicate + and - if they were DC for battery charging.
Is the engine fitted with a rectifier to produce DC?
Easy enough to check if AC or DC with a multimeter anyway.
If AC all you need is a bridge rectifier from somewhere like Maplins or Rapid Electronics to produce DC that you can use for battery charging ( Around the £2 mark)
Got some more details of the engine ... year for example.
