With the sudden demise of our Studer charger/inverter and need to get a new battery charger fairly quickly. Looking at a 50 amp charger, based on a rule of thumb I've seen which suggest charger should be rated at 10% of battery capacity. Currently 500 amphr capacity, or can I go for a smaller amp charger and accept a longer charge time?
The 2 I'm looking at are the Stirling Pro charge 12V 50 Amp and the Victron Centaur 12V 50A 3 Output Battery Charger. Both seem to in the price range I'm looking at. My questions are, anyone got one of these and are they any good, bests one to go for, any problems with either. Or any other chargers I should be looking at, sub £400.
Also looking for an approx 500 amp inventor, at the moment looking at "cheap", seen plenty. Anything I should be look for i.e. pure sine wave, or less. Will be used for TV and phone/ipad/laptop charging.

Purchased a Sterling Pro Charge Ultra earlier this year and so far happy with it. If you phone them they are very helpful and will give you advice on which one to buy. Got mine from a Caravan shop much cheaper than chandlers
