Hi Chris, got a new boat?

Where did the widget bit come from above?

The reason I ask is because many many years ago (probably around 30 to 35) my brother lived on the isle of wight for a summer season and whilst there wrote a 'blog' about his stay. He referred to the island as the isle of widget.
Sadly he is not with us anymore but I can remember my mum and dad laughing for weeks as they read his tales of island life.

Hiya KevB how u doing, hope you're well and stuff, yep after looking around for about 18months, this one finally happened, bit more than we wanted to spend but now were skint...so what.... nothing new there !
Sorry to hear about ur bruv, we call the place all sorts of things, nothing in particular really. Have to go for beer next time both u and I are down there. Was down there last weekend and bumped into GC1 in the Folly totally by accident ! Down again in 2weeks

Hi Chris,

Not sure when we'll be over but will let you know when we do. We are booked in for the festival though. Can't wait for that.

Looking forward to seeing what has changed in the marina as it's been a few months since we last visited.

We ate in the new bistro on it's opening night and was very impressed with the food although service was a bit slow but then it was their first night....

Hope they keep up with the quality of the food as it'll save us having to walk to the folly and queue for an hour /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm jealous of your boat. If I were to change it's what I would get - and almost did a couple of years ago but the deal to switch wasn't quite right.

Looking forward to seeing your new toy (the boat that is)

Kevin.

Yep I'm in Poole as well, so would love to join you sometime. Went accross to CI with Duncan last year.I'm planning to go up the Thames, from Poole, to see Byron in May, but after then, OK
