Didnt want to Hi jack the earlier thread but we are also going later in the year and wanted to know what peeps do re medical insurance for CI`s now reciprocal agreement has ended.

just taken out travel insurance! check they include sailing outside territrial water!

Rule 1: Just go.
Rule 2: If you get ill, sail back.
Rule 3: If you get really ill (very unlikely), pay to be taken back.
Rule 4: If you get really really ill (more unlikely still), local emergency service cover will probably look after you until Rule 3 applies.
Rule 5: If Rule 4 fails, you were very unlucky indeed. But when you get to heaven remember that you were immeasurably more likely to live and save the insurance premium, and you still had a great sail.

Agree completely. A&E still provided ongoing care is not I was told when there.
