That's a heavily modified CI22, the wheelhouse is not original and none were built with outdrives. However it's a great hull, I had one for 9 years and loved it.
I doubt anyone will be able to answer your question because of the alterations.

That is its displacement hull speed. To get it to go significantly faster would need a massive increase in power - probably up to 120hp. Normally that hull is fitted with shaft drive engines around 40-50hp for displacement and 100+ for planing - just.

Uneconomic to re- engine. Unlikely to find a decent SH engine that would link directly to the outdrive, and new would be 5 times or more than you paid for the boat.

Enjoy it as it is, it should sip fuel at 5 knots. If you did switch to a much bigger engine to go significantly faster than hull displacement speed you'd also spend a fortune on fuel...

Inclind to agree but you could talk about marinizing something from a ford or similiar with the chap at lancing marine. Has been very helpful when I have phoned and asked questions.

do you have anu pics of thr ci22 you had so i can see the difference please thanks

If it has an outdrive I would presume the engine will be at the back, a more powerful one (you would need maybe 120-150bhp) might be too heavy.
