Sailed across the channel yesterday, silly really when so many people have made such an effort with ferries and tunnels making it quick easy and comfortable.
ATCTTC; camera inc lense got covered in salt spray, any ideas on clean up regime as googling yields very little info.
(Fuji FP5600)

Tips on splashproof covers also welcome.

Wipe off with a damp (not soaking) cloth. Repeat a couple more times, rinsing the cloth each time. Allow to air dry. Then clean lens by 'huffing' on it and using a microfibre cloth (available, camera stores).

As to housings/covers quite a lot available, depending on model.

care and damp cloth initially until no salt remains (taste test) then leave to dry naturally. Cotton buds can also help.

then go out to Argos and get a Pentax Opti, or 7dayshop.com for an Olympus SW720, both on offer and both will survive on a boat like nothing else including UW up to about 10ft and being dropped/falling about/crushed. Balance of their specs similar - both 7mp / 3x optical z etc.
