Channel & 5-day Sailing Forecast Updated

Hi again everyone,

With such an aweful weekend last week there is a glimmer of hope for at least one out of two this weekend.

I have just uploaded the latest English Channel forecast for the weekend and the 5-Day Outlook to www.weatherweb.tv

Also, I'm looking for your pistures to use on the summary pages, so if you have anything that might be nice, email it to me at simon@weatherweb.net please.

Simon, a quick question - are these GFS derived or ECMWF, or do you have your own model?

Charts and winds are GFS derived, so do fall foul of the GFS errors (although I will mention in the forecast when the errors are expected to occur). I'm experiementing with using other models too, but for now I think the GFS is acceptable.

Great site! One thing though, even with my laptop's sound up to maximum I found the weekend forecast almost too quiet to hear, and I couldn't see a volume control on the screen. Can they be a bit louder please!
(and before anyone starts with the jokes I'm hardly a deaf old man!)

Good suggestion and others have made similar comments. I can increase the level here so will do that. let me know how the forecasts sound over the weekend.
