After looking at a potentially new/used key panel for my Volvo Penta MD11c I started wondering about simply refurbishing the existing panel by adding fresh gauges to replace the existing rusted ones!! How easy is this to do and do I need to look at anything specific in terms of specs of the Gauges etc

I am looking to add a rev counter to my bukh.

Googling them I find the easiest to use are the rev counters that use the W terminal on an alternator, and have an adustment to cope with the difference in revs between the alt and the engine. Most are for 85mm hole, a few are 52mm
they are mostly from £50 upwards, but check the install instructions and the rpm range . you prob want max 4000rpm

Electric Oil pressure guages inc senders from £8.50 upwards

beware some oil pressure guages read in "oil/kg" whatever that means, not PSI or bar.

I have had a look on eBay: KUS Marine (Try that search) seem to suit and are reasonably priced my original oil gauge was VDO also available on ebay
