So Im on a steep learning curve...I need to change the gearing/throttle cable that goes out of the transom and then into the outdrive. I get about 8 hours of time on the river when the tide is out. Do you think that is enough time to remove the old cable and then get the new one through and in? I cant move the boat to dry docking due to other probs.

I watched my boat having the cables replaced and they attached the old cable to domestic earth wire and pulled that through first then attached the new. Both engines (KAD 43 ) done in half a day.
Not sure of the advantage in using the earth cable first but they wouldn’t do it if it didn’t make the job easier
