I have a Whitlock steering pedestal which has a removeable panel inset into the structure divided into 2 angled faces for mounting instruments. The upper face holds 2 fuel gauges, the lower face has the standard VP engine panel. I want to upgrade to the de lux engine panel but this is too wide for the whitlock panel. Has anyone successfully modified a Whitlock pedestal to take the larger VP panel (its 25 cm wide and the whitlock panel is 21 cm wide. How did you do it?

scrolled through the lot - nothing identical. Amazing how many different versions. A close example was on a HR 43 . The panel was fitted on its side and the dials rotated 90 degrees . Warning lights remain in vertical rather than horizontal. Will do more research . My boat is a Bavaria ocean 47 c 2000
