Change of Launch Site - where to go

As of 17th July, I'll be launching predominently from Southampton instead of Lymington so will be looking for Bays and Beaches on the east coast of the IOW and places on the mainland obviously.... any suggestions? thanks Gary

Osbourne bay, pretty, busy, gets wash from big boats, has an ice cream boat as a positive.

Bay just outside Bembridge to the NW (Can't remember the name

Whitecliffe bay round past Bembridge, very sheltered and pretty. Has Cafe, ice creams etc.

That's my starter for 10

Beat me to it. Priory Bay. V pretty. Also from Calshot don't forget Thorness Bay, Newtown Creek and Beaulieu, and Bembridge as well.

Crunched my prop in Thorness a couple of years ago so am a bit wary of that one. Pretty spot though

You'll love Bembridge, too, though best if you can overnight there.

priory bay is lovely but there is a sand bar that runs parallel with the beach which creates a little lagoon when the tide is out. theres a few rocks on the east side of the bas as well...
