I need to buy a new anchor chain and warp as the Blue Star ferry decided he liked mine and took it with him last night. Yes we were in the dedicated anchoring area as directed by the port police, but that's a different story.

We are heading to leros then onwards To Turkey for the next 3 month, so can any one recommend a good chandlers that I can contact to order up some new ground tackle please

The chandlery in the North of Leros has Rocna, Delta and I think Kobra Anchors, but not many in stock so it might be worth ringing.
The chandlery in the South also stocks Delta and Fortress.

Yes both the chandleries are in the Marina/boat yards. The southern chandlery in Evros marina the Norther one in Agmar.
The northern chandlery is quite big the south one small.
There is also two hardware's in town. One sells some boat products mainly dingy anchors, but if you wanted a tempory solution they may be able to get Delta or Bugal copies.

I think your best bet is the northern chandlery in Agmar.

There is a bus between the North and south about 4-5 times a day.

Watch out for the boat that has just sunk if you are anchoring close to town in the south.

Turkish chain is not calibrated and I was unable to find any in Marmaris that was not carp quality. Its probably strong enough but the galvanising is usually poor. Imported chain will cost a bomb. If you want good stuff get it in EU.
