Chan 16 Noisey

Hi all,

I have a new Navman and a Ratheon ChartPlotter and I am getting a lot of noise on chan 16 but all other channels can be swelched out, I feel I have connected both up correctly as I have my position come up on the vhf. When I shut the gps off the noise goes WHY ONLY CHAN 16?
Any advise welcome

Been there etc. Moving the aerial turned out to be the solution Ferrites didn't help, nor did lots of ferrites. An aly foil box round the VHF and the plotters wasn't very attractive so the boat's twig ended up on a davit.
