..... depending on whether you work for Hydrochem /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We used their anti-fouling last year - stripping back to the gel and applying Primocon as per their recommendation. Result?

3 inches of growth less than 6 weeks after launch. The boat has now has two scrubs, with the last one taking over 3 hours! The paint is now peeling off - in fact it appears to have a better bond with weed than the primer.

Have tried contacting Hydrochem over the last few months to no avail. So this is really a last ditch attempt to get them to tell me where I went wrong ( and to impress you lot with their customer service).

Over to them........

I found several firms called Hydrochem or Hydro-chem.. I guess this is Hydrochem International and one of their "Thermo Release" antifoulings?

I note there is no way of contacting then other than by an Internet contact form, no address or phone number (I thought firms now had to identify themselves).

I also note the online ordering has been stopped. So no way of buying it now!

I guess you have had it! There is reference in the T&C to the "jurisdiction of the sheriffdom of Grampian, Highland and Islands at Aberdeen" Maybe you should contact the Sheriff's office. The only time I had any dealings with a Sheriff's office they were very helpful.

What ever made you choose it?

Sounds rather disappointing, and it's regrettable that they haven't replied to you or included contact information on their website. You could try a direct approach. Their website was registered to Michael Bennett, Hydrochem International sa, 1 Pinecrest Gardens, Bieldside, Aberdeen AB15 9FL, telephone 01224 862355.
