Chain/rope combination for anchor cable

Hi Chris,

No idea.. I had a Lofrans "tigre" on my own boat!.

Perhaps it is because Octoplait is more soft and a more rigid three strands will work better in a chain/rope gypsy??

But like you I prefer the Octoplait.

Fully agree with you 50 meters is rather short.. I suggest to add at least 50 meters of either three strands or Octoplait Nylon..

Just taken over my new boat, and the anchor cable is only 50mtrs - so I need to do something about that.

It's just a gypsy and stripper design issue. When you have a 'name' and sell 1000's anyway why bother keeping up with the rest.
