Chain Question

Found a source of some very good used chain, problem is that even though its a terrific bargain Im concerned about a few factors. Its 3/8" High test chain but the chain they got to replace it has slightly different link shape to it, they said the chain they are selling was a bit more oval. The only clue about what kind of chain it is is that every 10 links one is stamped with a CH. Never heard of this so I thought I would pose the question to this list.

Thanks in advance,

The only chain I have seen that has CH on it is drive chain, used to connect a power source to a drive, motorcycle, bike or timing chains etc.

Never on an anchor chain though.

If it was HC that might stand for high carbon but these are usually marked G4 or G40.

Acco make mooring chain marked MC on every link.

Not very helpful comments but that's the best I can do!
