Does anyone know the name of the guy who offered celestial navigation courses on the ferry to Spain? Is he still offering them? Thanks

Stokey - don't remember real name.

he spoke last year during a LIBS Blue Water seminar. Also involved with the ARC. The ARC organisers should be able to provide you with his contact details.

His name is Peter "Stokey" Woodall, Based in Cowes IOW
I did the course a couple of years ago, fabulous. I can now do star sights, sun sights and moon sights, and reduce to a position. Mostly down to the quality of the teacher rather than the student. I recommend it. He spends most of his time delivering yachts around the world so you have to leave a message on his web-site. If I was clever I'd do one of those "blue here" thingy that you'all do, but I can't. Do a google search and you will find him. Be prepared to wait six months for him to fill a cours about 5-6 usually. Beats anything the RYA do on celestial IMHO.
