CDYC Yacht sunk on mooring

Whilst walking past the pill today I noticed one of the yachts had sunk on it's mooring. An Achilles 24 I believe, (Royce on mooring 15?). It was afloat about 3 weeks ago so it will be a fairly recent sinking. Perhaps the owner is already aware but I thought I'd mention it just to be sure. A sad sight.

I guess the keel dried out on the high side of the bank. I hadn't thought of that possibility and assumed a failure of a skin fitting.
I notice she's been on her mooring for some time and is pictured in my 2008 edition of the Bristol Channel and Severn Cruising Guide.
Good luck with re-floating her and the subsequent clean up.

Dragged to slipway ...........but just missed it so parked at a bad angle! Will be fully floated Wednesday and the remaining mud pumped out! Pressure washed half the deck,
