cav thread size

I have a cav water separator that supplies diesel to a Perkins 4.108. There is a spare outlet on the cav head that I want to use to feed fuel to an Eberspacher Hydronic water heater. I have tried a 1/4" male bsp fitting in the outlet, and the size seems about right but the thread is definitely not.

Can anyone tell me the size and thread of these outlets?

dont do it this way it can cause fuel starvation problem take a sepperate supply from the tank

Didn't with me. No problems what ever taking it from the water separator. Even says so on the heater installation instruction (Webasto) - unless you are running a very big thirsty engine.

I agree that there should be no problem running from the engine filter. The pump acts as a non return valve. I suggest putting a stop cock on it so the heater can be removed etc.
