Caulking on fake teak

Went down to my Bavaria 35 yesterday and found the rubber "caulking" had come away around the fake teak on the cockpit locker seats. Could this be the frost or something similar ?

It now looks too long to just stick back down, i.e. its expanded considerably.

Any suggestions to fix ?

More likely not degreasing the surface properly.
