Not really looking. At least no more than you do.

Came across an Amel Super Maramu. I liked the look of it. Always thought ketches look handsome.

I know nothing about the make and wondered if they are at all well-regarded or otherwise.

I'm not a boat spotter so I can't give details. But I've seen quite a few around doing offshore cruising and they look to me like strong, capable cruisers.

Some years back I was delivering something or other, out north of the Azores in a stiff wind and generous seas. One came stonking past us, someone in the cockpit gave a cheery wave and off they went! I was very impressed.

They are highly respected, capable and popular for ocean cruising.
Check out "SV Delos" on youtube. They have been sailing theirs around the globe for over 10 years

Very nice boats indeed and an interesting history and philosophy/approach behind them, certainly upto the SM era. Went on a tour of the factory a few years ago/

A boat that has me intrigued is a mcgregor 65.
From a distance it looks like a 60 metre plus super yacht. Get up close and its "what the?"
Its 65ft long but only 12ft wide. Apparently it can do 18knts motoring and can often touch 20 knts under sail. Easy sailed solo !
The only thing not to like is paying to berth a 65 when you dont have huge interior to go with it

Ah the rare beast of the McGregor 65. Roger McGregor also designed a few smaller McGregors, most notably the McGregor 26 series. This he designed and built this for his own use and built about 100 for other customers and two extended to 70ft.
