The mast is 43ft
When I used to carry a quiver of windsurfers on top of my Fiesta I had a dead of the masts coming adrift and going through a bus queue like a shish kebab.
It was a bit top heavy, but the big problem was that the range rover was an automatic, lack of engine breaking and a long steep hill down into Lyon meant a complete brake fade and some white knuckle driving. The borrowed trailer also had rubbish brakes and just before we arrived in Porto ercole one of the trailer wheels fell off, the bearing had cooked, seized and broken the axle. I could write a book about the journeys events.Sooner you than me. I worked out that my CoG for a tiddler Foxcub fin was about a foot above the keel root (ie Somewhere between those pads on your trailer). Bit of wind, downhill corner.....eeek
