As an alternative to the Panto can I suggest we try something in the style of a Carry On Film.
The plot could revolve around a group of happy (and hapless) motor boaters who are threatened by the Blazer and Cravat wearing Committee of the local yacht club who find their activities vulgar and "impure"
The Carry On types we need to identify from forum members are:
Kenneth Williams (inoffesively camp)
Sid James (lecherous but a leader)
Hattie Jacques (frustrated matronly type)
Joan Sims (plain Jane but keen)
Kenneth Connor (naive but keen)
Bernard Breslaw (Fairly normal but accident prone)
Charles Hawtry (very dodgy)
Barbara Windsor (teasing sex bomb)
Jack Douglas (either spasmodic idiot or upright member of society - possibly could be self important head of Yacht Club).
I did suggest Colin Scott for the Sid James role but he is a raggie (could be a friendly and sympathetic one I suppose), and a certain forumite resident on a Riva berthed in Brighton seems to fit the Barbara Windsor role.
Any other suitable characters you wish to add need to be referenced to a celebrity so we can see the type of person you envisage.
PLEASE try and keep it cheeky and inoffensive in the best Carry On tradition, lets not get too rude or crude resulting in full or partial Kimmerisation
See if we can give this any legs, I think we pretty well exhausted the panto ideas last year
Merry Christmas to all and thanks for an entertaining yesr on the forum
