Carpet cleaning...

Got a lovely Sigma 33 with carpet on the sides of the aft bunk (who came up with that stupid idea). Now after 17 years they need a bit of a clean.
Anybody with good ideas or first hand experience.

I use 'Spray foam carpet cleaner' with a nail-brush. It doesn't matter whether its House or car variety - they both seem to do same.

Once dry - vacuum off. Works a treat .... have even used it in the car - yep - works a treat !!

And of course while you are at it ....... if you want to clean bilges / inner hull to pristine cleanliness ..... Mr. Muscle Oven Cleaner does it every time ..... wipe away most of surface gunk, spray on, let it foam and settle - then wipe away and then wash off with fresh=water ......

Car carpet cleaning shampoo/foam seems to shift anything and is a doddle to use.
