That was my first thought - how on earth did they get to the point that a collision was even possible?

The first footage is from the 3rd and the latter 1/2.footage cut in is from the one with the bent bow .

My initial thoughts without the chart to check drafts is the middle one [ the one arse ended ] has cut across the other two who where running parallel .

He thought they were gonna yield .

But then it was only a few years ago that a Costa (Carnival owned) cruise ship hit a whole island in the Med and sunk. I guess that qualifies as a 'major collision'

I wouldnt mind betting that one of the skippers of these Carnival cruise ships involved in the Cozumel accident was a female. My SWMBO drivers her car much like that

Slightly off-topic, but this is the first year we didn't get an Xmas card and Mince Pies from the local bodyshop. This could be related to the really quite effective parking sensors and active collision warning systems that are fitted as standard to her latest car.

Several reports say the one on the left in the video was docked. I have seen several videos and it does not look remotely docked in any of them.

Can't see any lines as from the wrong side but if you look just below the bow of the one on the left it looks like a quay side.

Some of the quality of the videos are better than others.

My impression is that there so many cruise ships there that they are rafted up. But the one on the left is definitely not moving
