Carlo Riva passes away at 95

Yep, sad news indeed - also because it's only the last one of several others.
In fact, the legacy left to us all by Italian builders and designers is MUCH wider than the one of Riva alone:
Pietro Baglietto, Pierluigi Spadolini, Luciano Mochi, Mario Spertini, Paolo Caliari, Mario Amati... And I'm sure I'm forgetting others.
Some folks here in the asylum might have never heard these names, but one way or another, the boats we currently enjoy are the result of their ideas and hard work.

Btw, it's also sad that the obituary of Carlo Riva reported in the YBW webpage comes from a chap who is actually a lawyer.
So much for having people in the industry capable to exploit such huge legacy...
...but that's another story - rant over! :(
