Greetings all

I'm looking for web links and/or publications that cover in some depth the weather I may expect year round in the Caribbean. The BVI's is my main target. Possibly some of you may have first hand experience.

Many thanks

agreed, it's david jones' site. he does a daily ssb service which is well regarded. he is based in road town in the bvi.

caribbean weather is not like the UK, in fact they hardly have weather, only climate. in summary, winds are westerly f4-6, a bit fresher around xmas and the occasional hurricane in summer. hurricanes hit any one spot around once in 20 years. sometimes it rains but only for the odd day.

bvi weather doesn't matter too much as most of the sailing is in sheltered waters unless you go out to anegada.

enjoy.

Try Herb Hildenberg His web site is hometown.aol.com/hehilgen/myhomepage/vacation.html or a google search of "herb weather southbound 2

He is based in Canada.

He will also give individual weather forecasts for up to 5 days to yachtsmen anywhere in the Atlantic. He makes no charge for the service. I found it great to speak to him on the SSB radio 12357 Mhz . Even for weather in the English Chanel!
