IDGAF ?????

Ommm ! Ommm! Practice brotherly love, Wavehopper, or pack an inflatable mast and some wee saily things /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am sure any raggie would be pleased to take you out for a day, in return for a blast on your new boat. Purely to see where to tie the tow ropes, of course....

This is nothing new

Somewhere I have some petrol tokens from the early 1970s when fuel was going to be rationed.

My plan for that was to have 2 cars - a Landrover which had the highest allowance and a Mini which used the least petrol.

Result was if I used the LR allowance in the mini - would have no problems.

In the event it didn't happen - and it won't this time.

Story is simple news management - spread a story saying how bad things are going to be so that the price rises to raise more tax don't seem quite as bad as it might have been.

Have you bought any petrol in the last few days?

Never forget the BBC is the NuLabour marketing dept.

Neither do I. As has been posted ad nauseam, can anybody prove conclusively that we are in a different situation now than 10,000 years ago at the end of the last Ice Age.

Can the bearded ecomentalists out there give me the total number of 4x4's (no, I don't drive one), old style light bulbs (no, I don't use them), lights left on (yes, we have low level lights on to make the house cosy all the time), which caused the last round of global warming.

It is I fear, the Emperors New Clothes, those that dare question theories are ridiculed.

I still don't buy it - only the day before yesterday there was an interesting program on telly about bronze age man living on the shore line around Formby. There were still footprints left in the fossilised clay. The presenter went on to say "...and the shoreline was so very different then, due to the fact that the temperature was about 2 degrees warmer than it is today...blah blah blah"

Hah! That one didn't escape my attention!! So what was cave-man doing to make such a hash of the environment then eh?? eh??

Global warming - Pah!

When the newspapers and TV were debating the Great Global Warming Swindle, one bearded fellow said that Polar Bears were in danger of extinction due to the retreat of the ice. When someone asked him how they survived the other know periods of ice retreat and warmth, or did Ploar Bears just suddenly pop into existance in the recent past. The beared one merely blustered and continued spouting more of the same crap.
