As advertised in the RYA mag, there seems to have evolved and arrived at Gosport a brush cleaner like a car wash for boats - has anyonew seen or used it?
It's not supposed to be an alternative to anti foul is it ? Surely it's an alternative to a mid-season haul out and scrub or drying out and doing it - getting knee deep in mud and covered in your own anti foul!
I took advantage of a stay in Lyme Regis when I dried out alongside the harbour wall to scrub my bottom...
Not used it but its on the end of C pontoon (I think) at Haslar. Had a good look on the way past last time - its basically a cradle suspended in the water with scrubbing brushes on it. You drive in, it scrubs the hull of growth and you drive off again. Dont know how much they charge - its probably geared towards the racing types who want the latest polish on the hull. Haslar's website may have a link or a fone number.
Sounds like a fast way to remove the A/F you've just put on to me! ... Now, A really powerfull one to clean you off at the begining of the season....so you can anti-foul on the beach...............(oh no! you've stolen my idea).
I believe the one at Yarmouth went bust. Anyway, I went in there & they told me it had packed up for good & they were waiting for the bits to be removed.
