How much wet weather gear/food/fishing stuff do you think I could get in the back of this little beauty/beast? And what size outboard? Could I also cram a deflated inflatable in?

Practical, no?

no probs, used to get all that into my TT which from the snap has less space than yours.

BTW, it won't need an outboard, you'll probably find that it already comes with an inboard petrol engine which I'd recommend you change for a diesel.

"How much wet weather gear/food/fishing stuff do you think I could get in the back of this little beauty/beast?" :- Not a lot.
"And what size outboard?" :-Very small.
"Could I also cram a deflated inflatable in?" :- Very unlikely.

I don't think anybody that owns a boat should even contemplate the horrors of practicality and sensibility. Go on have it, life's too short not too.

Almost had one of these myself but was put off by a friend's succession of horror stories (mostly electrical problems).

Great looking piece of kit, goes like stink (assuming you're getting the 20v Turbo).

Terrible depreciation from new but I imagine that's an advantage now as it'll be cheap as chips and not have much further to fall.

I'd have one if I didn't have a boat !

But how close will she point if you turn her upside down and stick a mast through the underside of the gearbox? Cockpit space looks a bit cramped too.

Yup, the leedle car does indeed have 4 adult (real proper adult) sized seats and not a bad boot, so no doubt more space than TT. Tho' I'd probably be able to fit both shports cars into the boot of my old Rover 800 fastback and still have room for a case of beer.

Re. engine on this one tho', thought I might ditch the inboard to make more space for drinks holders and microwave, and then strap an outboard on the back on one of those lowering bracket thingies...

I realised that - only trying to back you up. I bought one for SWMBO about 4 years ago before I left Scotland and she still has less than 20 k on it. Mind you she does have 6 months a year on holiday on the boat!!

My fault for being on the defensive.
My word, you're brave getting one for SWMBO. It may have only 20k on the clock but I bet it's full of all sorts of indescribable and unecessary junk and not Thoroughly sound, down to seabed yachting stuff, what?!

Hey thats my car... same colour too, they're great, go like stink and cheap, reliable as well, don't believe all the Fiat stories, these were built by Pininfarina in another factory.
Perfectly practical for boating, i just put all the boat stuff in the wifes Isuzu Trooper and met her there later !!

Glad it's not just me. I've got an Alfa, and am getting really ticked off with people telling me about how their mate had one and it's cost £X,000 to fix. Now I fix them with a steely stare and ask them for their mate's name and number, haven't got one yet. I thrash mine whenever possible, and nothing at all has gone wrong in 2 yrs/27,000 miles.
