Car Hire from Preveza or Igoumentisa

Looking to hire a small car for four weeks from Mid September,
The usual on-line UK based international hire companies all seem to produce "very similar" high prices. Grateful if anyone can point me in the direction of a truly local rental firm with sensible pricing for that time of year.

All the car hire companies in Preveza or Igoumentisa will be offering prices within a few euros of one another. There aren't many truly local setups any more, most are franchises of the bigger players, as it's the easy way to access internet based bookings. Prices should be coming down from mid September onwards but the only way to get the 'best price' is to bargain with the operator on the ground.

I recently hired a car for two weeks from Prevasa airport, I used Avis, a basic car cost me £240, they upgraded me to a VW Polo, i had a choice of auto or manual, a completely faultless deal, I would use them again, I shopped around but chose Avis because the office is in walking distance, very pleased with their service.

Last time I was in Preveza I hired a car from Europcar in Levkas Town.
Prices in Preveza and Igoumentisa were high and availability low.
this was a few years ago and not in high season as now.

I always rent with www.svelto-rentacar.gr/en in Igoumenitsa. It's a small family business, very friendly and better prices than the franchises. I used them 4-5 times in the last 12 months.
