This months PBO mentioned "Marine crime wave hits south coast, next page Beaulieu Boat Jumble found the "trunk traders car boat section was a definite success, Could they be related? or is it me? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Why are you asking? Have you had things stolen from your boat, and have they turned up at Beaulieu Boat Jumble? Or do you just assume that there is nothing at all legitimate about a boat jumble?
I'm sure there are stolen items sold at boat jumbles. And car boot fairs, my local paper (and yours), on eBay, down the pub and in 101 other places as well. There are bound to be rogue traders at something like a boat jumble,I have seen the police do do a walk round looking at stuff at jumbles .

I would guess the majority of sellers are honest folk with some boat stuff to unload.

Hmmm get paid to walk round boat jumbles - nice! But if they see the same guy selling van loads of second hand gear at different events, it doesnt even take plod long to put 2+2 together!

Don't agree with that. My mate buys up other peoples bits at the end of each boat jumble so always has a van load of stuff.

I am not sure that by appearing at different events actually makes them a criminal.
