I beg to disagree with demotivational.com's reasoning.
Surely buoyancy is the fine line between a ship and an artificial reef?
This ship for example recently almost crossed that line in Weymuff Bay....
A submarine on the other hand is just a ship that manages it's buoyancy so as to sail under the surface until it comes up for air or a fag.

A submarine is the only ship that can unsink, as has often been said there are two types of vessel, submarines and targets.
