Just read the 'what sail thread' where sock covers are mentioned. Got a call from marina this morning. Cover shredded, currently a flying pennant from masthead.wind eaked out a small bag in the furl, flagged itself a little but looks repairable.When wind drops will take cutter sock off, drop both sails, as now proven these 'sock covers' are not up to the job.
Wind also got into another yachts genoa,' 22 carrat' and has shredded the whole sail around the uv strip top to bottom, defo cream crackerred.
