Canvas hood cleaner.Will you help me find it please?

I saw a canvas cleaner/reviver in a magazine of late, it costs about £8 and apparently was very good, cannot find the name of it or the magazine can you help me?

Try in classic car, cant remember the name myself, but used for sports car hoods aswell. Renovo?? or summat.

Renovo. Bought it at Marine Superstore, Port Solent. Have also seen it in other Chandlers. Marine Superstore does have a website for mail orders I think.

Cleaner works quite well, but smells suspiciously like washing powder! Waterproofer is not fantastic in a downpour but prevents spray from soaking in. Also, watrerproofer does not go very far, so expensive to do all covers. Maybe worth getting some other clothing waterptroofer to try (Nikwax maybe?).

Being a complete cheapskate, after exhaustive testing, I've decided that any non-bio washing powder and a scrubbing brush does the best cleaning job. For waterproofing use "Thompsons Water Seal" as sold for sealing brickwork. Works brilliantly on hoods (just darkening them very slightly) at a fraction of the price of "proper" products...

Yep - totally agree with this method and materials used. You need to be careful to work to a wet edge when using the Thompson's, though - otherwise you will "see the joins".

I tried Renovo last year - worked ok but didn't go very far for the money. Also, as advertised, it made the fabric "tighten" but this split the seams!
