canvas cover waterproofer

Is there something I can sorry or paint on the canvas cover to repel water? I want to stop the green slime.

I use a "water seal" product sold as building supplies - often shown as used to seal brickwork or concretre --- from B & Q
Works fine

Usually lasts a season and is fairly easy to apply. I've also got some in a spray can which is handy for small things such as the outboard and hatch covers.

+1 for Waterseal - a lot cheaper, seems to work at least as well and causes no damage although keep it off the gel as it does mark - albeit equally the marks polish off.

Bought a 5 litre can of fabsil from ebay ages ago, I just roll it on to the covers every year with a foam radiator roller, let it dry and you're good to go. It's pretty decent stuff and seems to last up to two seasons if required..

That's two separate problems, I use Patiomagic to get rid of the green and then Fabsil to waterproof when PM has dried.
