Patio Magic or the cheaper Aldi equivalent, or Borocol if you are feeling wealthy. Most is mould and applying that, letting it dry and then waiting for a couple of weeks it will be a different thing altogether. Yours is pretty bad so I might top it up after a week
You may find using a jet wash (not on full power) should remove most of the muck. If you do not have access to mains power and mains water, you could use a battery jet wash. I bought one and have given a report on its uses.
I have just ordered one of these and it has been shipped. I nearly bought a similar Titan one from Screwfix, but they were out of stock. By chance I found this one at half the price at £40 and it comes with a storage case and some other extras. Cannot wait to get it and try it. I know it will not be as powerful as a mains machine connected to a hose, but being able to wash the boat down or washing the chain whilst lifting the anchor when not in a marina must be an advantage. I can recharge the battery from my ship's batteries when not in a marina.
Mine looked like that. I used HG mould remover (patio cleaner) and it cleaned a lot off - but not perfect. My spray hood is now very old though - I've replaced the window 3 times!
The key to preventing mold is getting it dry. After cleaning, treated it with water repellent so that it dries more quickly. A periodic (2-3 months) light spray with Patio Magic (kills lichens) (don't rinse off) will also help in very damp locations.
Yes, Patio Magic or anything with same active ingredient should only be applied when it will stay dry for at least 5-6 hours. Leave for a few weeks and then rinse off. It won't remove stains, just kills pretty much everything and a lot washes off.
Active agent is Benzalkonium Chloride. Buy whatever is cheapest wrt % strength quoted.
