After all the moaning in the previous two years surely it's time to celebrate the weather and sailing this year :D

Before I bought my boat my father said "You do know you'll be lucky to get 6 days good sailing a year" Whilst coming back from Portsmouth today I flicked through my logbook and counted 36 days in the last four months with only 5-6 of those held up in a marina/mooring.

I wonder how many people threatening to sell their boats would have regretted doing so...

+1. Had a great year so far. Storming sails down to Gosport from Harwich in June. Then a placid 3 weeks down to the CIs and back to Harwich. Beautifully sunny and warm, lot of motor work in the 3 weeks but some you win.....

I'm bloody complaining about it now!

Three weeks of HOT while I'm stuck in the office, then escape just for this week to go to the Channel Islands and what do we have? Gale warnings in the Channel!

And rain today while I was trying to seal a leaking forehatch.

Grr.

I know the feeling free time for sailing form Friday :( (short of crew if any one is interested).

Althoguh last year I got good weather when it mattered, you win some you loose some...

Oh I don't know, just back from 16 days in Brittany and we had a whole 6 hours on light rain! However, those inland were having an awful time with storms, flash floods etc.

You'll have to go self employed Pete, think of all those quiet mid week sunny days, you'll just be skint :o

We finally got it right this year and just got back from 2 weeks in Normandy in glorious weather. Water temperature at Iles Chausey was 20 deg C!
