one of the guys on the dock had a life ring ready for if it went horibly wrong, note driver not wearing lifejacket, wonder if he had killcord attached to him

I love the way halfway through it's actually got dark ,and he's still going!

Mind you, that little boat with those engines, got to be properly scarily fast when used in anger...

Not heard an IB or OB sound like that, has an F1 type note to it

I suspect it's because he's got them trimmed so high that the exhausts are out of the water at the beginning, normally when you hear an outboard the exhaust is under water.

When he accelerates away normally they sound like normal high performance outboards to me.
